AirSave is an Autonomous Drone for Search and Rescue

AirSave is a prototype based on DJI drone that that can find people or vehicles in a variety of different scenarios.

AirSave works with partially obscured views & poor weather conditions

Our Computer Vision model was trained with data sets under different weather conditions and thoroughly tested in simulated worlds using Unreal Engine.

AirSave is Capable of Detecting Vehicles above water surfaces

AirSave can find boats that have requested rescue in the shortest amount of time, within its battery life

AirSave hopes to save lives even after natural disasters

While this feature is still in development, we do hope to take advantage of the speed and mobility of drones to save lives after unfortunate natural disasters, including earthquakes.

About AirSave

AirSave is founded by Jerry Liu, a high school student in the United States, to conduct search and rescue missions under different scenarios. AirSave currently does not have a physical prototype, and is built through a 3D Simulation Platform (Unreal Engine) and trained through Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL code based on TensorFlow).

I thank Aqeel Anwar, a senior ML Engineer @ NVIDIA for inspiring me with his Programmable Engine for Drone Reinforcement Learning (RL) Applications (PEDRA) Project, which inspired me to create my own drone prototype for the specific purpose of air search and rescue.
